Troubleshooting

Kanzi Shapes plugin failed to load

Kanzi Figma Importer uses Kanzi Shapes to show 2D vector content and gradients in your Kanzi application.

When you import a Figma project, Kanzi Figma Importer automatically imports the Kanzi Shapes plugin to your Kanzi Studio project. If the importing of Kanzi Shapes fails, you see an error in the Log. Usually, this means that Kanzi Shapes is not installed in the correct directory.

You can resolve the issue by manually importing Kanzi Shapes to your Kanzi Studio project.

To manually import Kanzi Shapes to your Kanzi Studio project:

  1. In the Library, right-click Kanzi Engine Plugins and select Import Kanzi Engine Plugin.

  2. In the <KanziWorkspace>/Engine/plugins/shapes/lib directory, select the DLL in the directory of the Visual Studio configuration that you want to use, and click Open.

    For example, select win64/GL_vs2019_Release_DLL/kzshapes.dll.

If you want to debug at runtime, import the debug version.

Kanzi Studio imports Kanzi Shapes to your Kanzi Studio project.

Colors appear washed out or distorted

If after importing from Figma, colors look washed out or are distorted in some way, in Project > Properties, set the Binary Export > Color Workflow property to Legacy. See Preparing Kanzi Studio project.
