Struct Weak

pub struct Weak<T>{ /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Represents a weak reference to an instance of C++ kanzi::Object. Can be passed to functions accepting &Object (or its derivatives), yet, if the object is stale, the functions will return an error STALE_OBJECT instead.

Implementations§

§

impl<T> Weak<T>

pub fn upgrade(self) -> Result<Option<T>, Error>

Attempts to upgrade a weak reference to a strong reference of the object.

pub fn downgrade<P>(object: P) -> Weak<T>
where P: MetaInherits<T>,

Downgrades a strong reference to a weak reference of the object.

pub fn downgrade_ref<P>(object: &P) -> Weak<T>
where P: MetaInherits<T>,

Downgrades a strong reference to a weak reference of the object.

pub fn upcast<U>(self) -> Weak<U>
where U: MetaInherits<Object>, T: MetaInherits<U>,

Casts weak reference to a less specific type. This function is statically checked and, hence, cannot fail.

pub fn upcast_ref<U>(&self) -> &Weak<U>
where U: MetaInherits<Object>, T: MetaInherits<U>,

Casts weak reference to a less specific type. This function is statically checked and, hence, cannot fail.

pub fn downcast<U>(self) -> Result<Option<Weak<U>>, Error>
where U: MetaInherits<T>,

Casts weak reference to a more specific type. If casted to an incorrect type this function will return None.

pub fn downcast_ref<U>(&self) -> Result<Option<&Weak<U>>, Error>
where U: MetaInherits<T>,

Casts weak reference to a more specific type. If casted to an incorrect type this function will return None.

pub unsafe fn downcast_unchecked<U>(self) -> Weak<U>
where U: MetaInherits<T>,

Casts weak reference to a more specific type.

§Safety

The same constraints as in kanzi::inherits_constraint::downcast_unchecked apply.

pub unsafe fn downcast_unchecked_ref<U>(&self) -> &Weak<U>
where U: MetaInherits<T>,

Casts weak reference to a more specific type.

§Safety

The same constraints as in kanzi::inherits_constraint::downcast_unchecked apply.

pub fn lock(self) -> ThreadObject<T>

Transforms a weak reference to a reference which can be sent to other threads.

pub fn lock_ref(&self) -> ThreadObject<T>

Transforms a weak reference to a reference which can be sent to other threads.
