SMAA¶
SMAA (Subpixel Morphological Anti-Aliasing) is a post-processing technique that delivers high-quality edge smoothing with minimal performance impact. SMAA uses edge detection and pattern recognition algorithms to identify and selectively process jagged edges.
SMAA works in three passes:
Edge detection to identify problematic areas
Pattern analysis to determine the optimal blending weights
Final blending to smooth the identified edges
